Luxury Womenswear brand “DUMEBI” created by British Fashion Designer Barbara Biosah recently launched its first Flagship Boutique in London during London Fashion Week AW22.

 

 

The DUMEBI brand is an exciting fusion of Barbara’s African heritage and her love for Renaissance art mixed with a British Modern twist and Parisian Flair. The newly opened Boutique embodies DUMEBI’s love for handmade Ethical clothing, luxurious natural silks, lace, leather and great attention to detail. The boutique will offer timeless couture pieces from their beautiful artistic collections ready to purchase. Clients will also be able to get their measurements taken on-site by a tailor for custom made Evening-wear and bespoke Bridal designs which will all be created in-house in the atelier situated on the lower ground floor of the Boutique. 

 

Barbara Biosah, Founder and Fashion Designer of DUMEBI mentioned that the growing sales caused a need for a physical store. Located right at the heart of Chelsea London, at 60 Fulham Road, DUMEBI’s first boutique includes a visually stunning shop floor and an Atelier (private studio) in the basement. Chelsea, London is known as an affluent area for smart boutiques and high-end businesses, a level of recognition that Dumebi has rightfully earned since launching in 2017. The British Fashion Designer Barbara Biosah mentioned how humble she felt being in a space amongst well established, successful businesses.

Chelsea is one of the most prominent and affluent areas in London and we are both excited and humbled to launch our first boutique amongst iconic successful businesses that we admire. We look forward to offering clients the ability to touch, feel and try on our handmade creations,” said Barbara Biosah, Founder and Fashion Designer of DUMEBI.

 

  

 

The boutique has a lovely aesthetic with floral walls, neon signs, wall art and floating shelves stacked with beautifully crafted Italian leather handbags, and a comfortable swing area for pictures. The store features many areas worthy of Instagram snaps and friendly staff to make shopping easy.

The Grand Opening event featured the debut launch of DUMEBI’s First handbag collection DAYDREAM which was presented during an in-store Fashion show alongside a complementing ready-to-wear womenswear collection. The DAYDREAM handbag collection is handcrafted in Venice, Italy by experienced artisans and is available for immediate purchase.
 

 
 

Additional entertainment on the night was provided by recording artist JUSTINA who performed her debut single ROAR wearing a vibrant DUMEBI red lace 2-piece embellished with silk & organza handmade flowers and shibori from the Anaemia Collection inspired by Sickle Cell Anaemia.
