Spring Nail Trends

As the days start getting longer and flowers begin to bloom, it’s time to welcome some of our favourite spring motifs back into our lives. From the new fashion season to new makeup styles, there are so many new trends emerging with the season. One thing you can’t forget is your nails.

If you’re looking for some inspiration for your next mani, here are some of the hottest nail trends for spring 2022.

French manicure

The first is a classic, because who can forget about the timeless, elegant French manicure? It’s safe to say everyone’s tried this before and, for many, it’s a staple style that we keep coming back to. If you’re looking for something understated this spring, you can count on your white tips.

Crayon box nails

In contrast, you could always give something a little more colourful a try. Take these crayon box nails, which get their name from the random, playful colour scheme. You can choose any colours you like – and even go for something pastel to really show off those spring vibes.

Checkerboard nails

Checkerboard nails are a fun design to work with alone, but there are so many ways to take them a step further, with different combinations of colours, shapes, and patterns. Take a look at some of our favourite designs for some exciting inspiration.

Floral accents

A new style we’ve seen emerging this spring is floral accents, which have appeared in manicures through a variety of ways. From intricate, detailed nail stickers and decals to hand-painted designs (for those with a steady hand), we love them all, and they’re the ideal way to add a spring flourish to your fingers.

White swirls

Also known as the abstract French, white swirl nails took the beauty industry by storm last year, and we can’t get enough of them. For anyone looking to spice up their regular French manicure, but stick to the monochrome colour scheme, this one’s for you.

Gradient swirls

Alternatively, if you’re a fan of the wavy textures and patterns we saw last year, pick your favourite colour, and integrate it into some gradient swirls. These nails are both bright yet also classy, as the single colour scheme still fits with all your outfits.

French outline

Another twist on the classic French manicure, outlined tips are another style we’re fangirling over. They’re perfectly minimalistic and elegant, whilst also setting your nails apart from the rest of the crowd. Plus, you’ve got the freedom to choose any colour you like without it being too overpowering.

Olive green

In terms of popular nail colours this year, we’re ready to see plenty more olive-green nails, as they fit perfectly with this year’s neutral fashion trends. Not to mention, they look incredible on those with darker skin tones.

Pink and red

Another popular nail colour is the pink-red combination. Although it’s a colour combination many of us have steered away from for years (it’s true – it can be difficult to pull off), pink and red are making a comeback. If you need some inspiration, there’s plenty out there to choose from.
